Ramon age 70, died last year. He was a cool and courtly Latin gentleman, who never lost his sense of fun.

I started with the bicycles when I was 14 years old, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. My father gave me the bicycle. It was a Schwinn, but not decorated.

Me, I came here in about 1956, and I was still doing the bicycles. I would make the rounds, just riding aroud the neighborhood.

I just started to decorate my bicycle two or three years ago. I thought it looked nice and beautiful.

I talk to the other guys in the Club every day, all about the bicycles and the Club. I talk about putting a radio on the bicycle and putting music on it.

We meet Sunday, Friday and Saturday, but we talk on the phone every day.

I like it ‘cause I like that it looks funny. I look happy!
