Walking through Union Square Park on Tuesday nights means having to wend your way through fighting pairs of men wearing home made armor, whacking each other's shields with practice swords. It's the weekly fighter practice of the Manhattan chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, and I wanted to find out more about their fascination with the Middle Ages.
